PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture at a low cost a contact lens of high quality which excels in optical properties and has so smooth an edge and a surface as not to impair the cornea. SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method for the contact lens, a raw material is filled and polymerized in a space formed by combining male and female resin molds. The filling/polymerization of the raw material is performed in a state of the contact surfaces of the male and female resin molds being fixed by an adhesive. The resin molds are preferably constituted of a modified polyolefin, and the transmittance of light of a wavelength 356 nm of the modified polyolefin is 10% or above when the thickness thereof is made 0.5 mm. Besides, these molds are desirably the resin molds for manufacturing the contact lens that contain the modified polyolefin and an aliphatic acid ester which is 5 wt.% or below to the weight of the resin mold and has a hydroxyl or amino group.
