PICTURE TUBE DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture tube device capable of obtaining a sufficient degauss effect even near the corner of a shadow mask without increasing the attenuating AC currents made to flow in demagnetization coils. SOLUTION: The device has a pair of demagnetization coils 34 and 36 provided vertically facing each other along the outer periphery of a glass bulb 22; and is equipped with loop parts 34L and 36L surrounding corner parts 36C at a part where the respective demagnetization coils 34 and 36 correspond to the respective corner parts 36C of the shadow mask 26 in the state that a color picture tube device 10 is viewed from a back side (seen from the neck part of the glass bulb 22).
