PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulating structure for building, which can simply and inexpensively satisfy a prescribed filling density, when a void part between face materials is thermally insulated on a building site and a construction method thereof. SOLUTION: In this heat insulating structure 20, a heat insulator 10 for void, wherein a cotton-like heat insulating material 11 is packed with an airtight film 12, is filled in a bent state into a void part 6 between exterior wall panel bodies 2A and 2B in a joint part between unit structures 1A and 1B.
