PIER / ABUTMENT BASE JOINT TYPE REINFORCING STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pier/abutment base joint type reinforcing structure capable of easily carrying out construction work of a reinforcing structure of a footing. SOLUTION: The reinforcing structure is so constituted that a sheet pile 1 is only connected to a pier base section P provided at an interval from the footing F. The upper part of the sheet pile is connected to the pier base section P with reinforced concrete 2. The reinforced concrete 2 is placed to a dowel anchor 5 fixed to the inside of the sheet pile 1 and the pier base section P to form. Since the side of the footing F is not thereby connected to the sheet pile 1, connection work with the footing F can be eliminated. Since there is no need for the connection work to make, excavation around the footing F is not required.
