PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure where a welding electrode is smoothly moved, and where looseness is reduced so that a material to be welded is moved with highly accurate parallelism. SOLUTION: A resistance welding device has a mechanism where a linear movement member is sandwiched between a guide bushing for an electrode supporting member supporting a welding electrode and a guide post for the same and where the welding electrode is moved along the guide post by rolling action of the linear movement member. Rolling members of the linear movement member are arranged on a plurality of rows extending along the longitudinal direction of a cylindrical retainer member and on a plurality of lines extending along the circumferential direction of the retainer member. The rolling members on each of the lines are arranged at almost equal intervals and the position of each of the lines is shifted from each other in the direction of the lines.
