PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a film, with high precision, on an article to be applied with by improving the linearity of the edge body. SOLUTION: The tool has an edge supporter 3, 3 having a slot 5 discharging an application solution onto an article to be applied with, an edge body 13 attached at the head of the supporter 3 opposing the slot 5 and a fastener 14 fixing the body 13 to the supporter 3. The fastener 14 has a female piece made of cemented carbide and formed on the body 13 in an integrated form, a male piece 17 taper-fitted with the female piece and a fastening screw 21 screwed with the piece 17 through the supporter 3 and holding the female piece and the male piece in a fitted state. With no difference in the thermal expansion coefficient between the body 13 and the female piece, the linearity of the body 13 can be improved so that a film of a specified thickness can be formed on an object with a high precision.
