PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for separating solid matters utilizing a dry separating process wherein two or more solid matters with different specific gravities are classified by air flow by mixing two or more solid matters in the air flow and giving a cyclone movement to this air flow. SOLUTION: A cyclone generator 14 for generating the air flow provided with the cyclone movement upward from a tangential direction of an air flow classifying box body 11 is provided on the lower end part of the air flow classifying box body 11. In addition, three steps of barriers 12a, 12b and 12c with truncated conical shapes are arranged in a vertical direction on the inner wall face of the air flow classifying box body 11.
