The flat material (11a), to register perspiration e.g. at the armpit, has a nominal bending point to fold into the armpit. The lower section, treated with a reagent as an indication zone (15a), lies within the armpit (20a), and the upper section lies at the under side of the upper arm and also with an indication zone (13a). The end of the material is secured to the skin by the projecting edge (18) of an outer film carrier (17).
