<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hazardous chemical substance removing installation for avoiding further health hazard to inhabitants in a building by shortly and effectively removing hazardous chemical substances including formaldehyde, etc., contained in building materials, furniture or furniture members. <P>SOLUTION: A treatment chamber 1 is provided in which articles polluted by the hazardous chemical substances including formaldehyde, etc. The treatment chamber 1 has an exhaust port 2 and air intake 3, which are communicated with each other via a communication path 4 outside the treatment chamber 1. In the communication path 4, fans 10, 11 and a porous material 13 are provided for circulating air in the treatment chamber 1 through the communication path 4 and for adsorbing and removing the hazardous chemical substances through the circulated air, respectively.
