PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a printing plate capable of (1) forming a printing plate pattern without generating a developing liquid and an etching liquid like a photo-lithographic method and generating a situation for hardly corresponding to a requirement of an on-demand type production, (2) obtaining an enough smoothness of an inner wall even on a fine through-opening and a recessed part, and (3) avoiding exchanging of a laser oscillator provided with an expensive gas leakage preventing mechanism, and cost up caused by decrease in a processing speed by an intermittent shot processing. SOLUTION: As a laser processing for forming the through-opening and the recessed part, a CO<SB>2</SB>laser processing is used, and as a thin sheet 101 of an object to be processed, a product with a base layer composed of an acrylic resin is used.
