PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abrasion-testing machine for a valve /a valve seat that can accurately the abrasion of the valve and valve seat. SOLUTION: The abrasion testing machine for the valve/valve seat presses the valve 1 to the valve seat 3 by reciprocating the valve 1 along the axial direction, while heating the valve 1 and valve seat 3 by a heating device 5, in which the valve 1 is arranged so that the head 1b thereof is positioned in the lower place of a gravity direction; and the heating device 5 is arranged in the lower place of the gravitational direction of this valve 1. Only the temperature of the valve 1 will not become too high due to the arrangement of the heating device in the lower place of the valve, and the abrasion testing machine for the valve /valve seat that can accurately evaluate the abrasion of the valve and valve seat. At this time, it is preferable that a combustion chamber 20, of which the inside is heated by the heating device 5, be provided; an opening 21 communicating with the outside of the combustion chamber 20 at the upper part of the combustion chamber 20 be provided; the valve seat 3 be provided on a rim part forming the opening 21.
