PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an autonomous fluorescent endoscope apparatus which enables the simultaneous observation of the ordinary observation images and the fluorescent images and further, can obtain the fluorescent images with a higher dynamic range without the use of an image intensifier. SOLUTION: The apparatus has a control means to control an imaging means so that the electric charges accumulated in a plurality of adjacent photodetecting cells are added up vertically and/or horizontally during irradiation with the excitation light and the number of the photodetecting cells with the electric charges therein added up under the control means is multiplied by an integer of the number of the photodetecting cells used for the computation of one color pixel.
