PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-stage operation switch device reducing a difference between operation forces necessary for switching operation in different directions and in addition, reducing the number of components, and to provide a window driving gear for a vehicle. SOLUTION: First and second switches have single fixed contacts 11, 12 and moving contacts 13a, 14a respectively. When an operation knob 6 is inclined in a first direction shown in an arrow F1, only the first switch 15 is turned on in a first operation position of the operation knob 6, and both the switches 15, 16 are turned on in a second operation position more inclined than the first operation position. When the operation knob 6 is inclined in a second direction shown in an arrow F2, only the second switch 16 is turned on in a third operation position of the operation knob 6, and both the switches 15, 16 are turned on in a fourth operation position more inclined than the third operation position.
