The touring or recreational vehicle has a rear stowage space (14) bounded at the rear by a movable hatch back component (10) and at the front by a seat row (12), and provided with a cover (16) which by its horizontal main components extends over the whole inside width of the space. The space cover is mounted to alternatively pivot around a front axis extending in the transverse direction of the vehicle and around a rear axis extending parallel to the front pivot axis.
