Device configuration information (physical information and logical information) on devices such as a host computer, a switch, and a storage on a SAN is acquired from the devices via a LAN (9). Element information is created from the acquired device configuration information so as to create a link between element information according to the element information. When a plurality of links are attached to an element, information for selecting one of the links is previously stored. Thus, minimum requisite information used for the elements to conduct routing is stored, and it is possible to search for a relevant element efficiently.
