PURPOSE: A light emitting device is provided to secure a stable emission and to improve the reliability by using a silicon resin instead of a conventional epoxy resin. CONSTITUTION: A light emitting device includes leads(101,102), a sealing resin(103) with an opening(105) for exposing partially the leads, a first semiconductor light emitting element(106A) mounted on the lead within the opening, a semiconductor element(106B) mounted on the lead within the opening, a wire(109A) for connecting the first semiconductor light emitting element with the lead, and a silicon resin for sealing the first semiconductor light emitting element and the semiconductor element. A slit is formed between the leads. The silicon resin has a hardness of 50 or more in ISO 7619 value. |
