PURPOSE: A radiation computed tomography apparatus is provided to use radiation in an efficient manner in collecting projection data using a multi-row detector. CONSTITUTION: A radiation computed tomography apparatus comprises an X-ray tube(20) for emitting radiation toward an object; a detector array(23) constituted by a plurality of detector rows arranged along a rotary axis so as to acquire projection data of the object by X-ray; a collimator(22) for adjusting radiation range of X-ray from the X-ray tube in response to a control command; and a control unit for calculating detector rows required for acquiring projection data to be used in reconstruction of a specific portion of computed tomography data, on the basis of parameters related to reconstruction of computed tomography data, and outputting a control command for radiating X-ray to the calculated detector rows to the collimator.
