ONE-CHIP MICROCOMPUTER, ITS CONTROL METHOD, AND IC CARD USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out a self-check of incorporation without using a plurality of exclusive test terminals.

SOLUTION: This one-chip microcomputer 10 is provided with a starting register 18 for starting test operation for an incorporation self-checking function, and an incorporation self-check starting pattern generator 19 for setting an initial value to a test control circuit (a pseudo random number generator 14, a logic circuit checking compressor 15, a pattern generator 16 and a memory checking compressor 17). The self-check of incorporation is started by a command of a CPU 12, and the test results of the memory 11 and a logic circuit group 13 are read from the memory checking compressor 17 and the logic circuit checking compressor 15 and compared respectively with expected values stored beforehand in the memory 11 to diagnose the result inside the one-chip microcomputer 10.
