SETTLEMENT SYSTEM USING CELLULAR TELEPHONE NUMBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a settlement system using a cellular telephone number that can reliably authenticate a user without causing a feeling of discomfort in the user and can safely and reliably settle a cashless sales transaction.

SOLUTION: A portable terminal 1 and a settlement device 4 are connected via a cellular telephone network 2 and the Internet 3. When the portable terminal 1 transmits a cellular telephone number, the settlement device 4 returns face photograph information accumulated in advance in a face photograph database 7 in connection with the cellular telephone number. The face photograph information is displayed on a display part of the portable terminal 1. This enables user authentication. When receipt information is next transmitted, the receipt information is accumulated in a receipt database 8 of the settlement device 4.
