INKJET RECORDING MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording material which has high ink absorbing properties and high gloss, and improves blotting of an image and cracking of an ink receiving layer.

SOLUTION: The inkjet recording material has at least two layers of the ink receiving layer comprising mainly a silica fine particle finely pulverized to a mean particle diameter of ≤500 nm in the presence of a cationic polymer, and also comprising a polyvinyl alcohol of 5-35 mass% to the silica fine particle on a substrate. A ratio (B/P ratio) of the polyvinyl alcohol to the silica fine particle in the ink receiving layer close to the substrate in the ink receiving layer is smaller than the B/P ratio in the ink receiving layer on the side far from the substrate, and the ink receiving layer on the side far from the substrate comprises a water-soluble polyvalent metal compound.
