<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish telephone conversation even for a person hard of hearing by handling not only a video image and voice but also a text string representative of the content of a speech uttered by a user. <P>SOLUTION: The TV phone transmits/receives a video image and voice to/from another device through a network. The TV phone comprises a voice input section 22 for inputting voice data, a video image input section 30 for inputting video data, a voice recognition section 27 performing voice recognition processing of inputted voice data to generate text data, a multiplexing/demultiplexing section 36 for multiplexing voice data, video data and text data, and a communication unit 38 for transmitting multiplexed data through a network. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
