PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a heat resistant cup-shaped container made of polyester which is not deformed even if high-temperature contents are poured in, and its manufacturing device. SOLUTION: The method comprises a molding process, in which a cup is drawn by heating a polyester sheet to the temperature suitable for drawing, and a thermally fixing process, in which the molded cup is transferred to a heating die heated to a predetermined thermally fixing temperature, the cup is brought into close contact the die face by blowing in high-pressure air, and next, a cooling core is inserted into the heating die, the blowing-in of the high-pressure air is stopped, the cup is brought into close contact with the die face of the cooling core by thermal contraction, and the cup is cooled and solidified.
