PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal canned beverage container having a heat insulating property that can protect the hands against the heat of a beverage can sold from a vending machine and having ease of handling in a vending machine in a metal can container for a beverage such as a canned coffee. SOLUTION: The beverage container keeps a heat-shrinkable foamed sheet, drawn at least in one direction, mounted on the side of a cylindrical metal can. The sheet is made of a resin composition whose main component is a polystyrene resin, preferably a styrene butadiene block copolymer or a styrene-butadiene-(meth)acrylate copolymer.
