PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video intercom system whose power consumption can be reduced by simplifying the circuit structure of an intercom slave unit with camera. SOLUTION: An imaging circuit block 11 constituting the intercom slave unit with camera is provided with an optical lens 1g for imaging a visitor, a solid-state image sensing device 1a, an A/D conversion circuit 1b for converting the analog video signal S1b imaged and outputted by the solid-state image sensing device into a digital video signal S1c, an imaging signal processing circuit 1c for selecting and segmenting the pixels required for displaying from the imaged pixels, a modulation circuit 1d for transmitting the segmented pixel data S1d by a digital modulation signal f1 and a timing signal generation circuit 1f for imaging and transmission and a video display circuit block 31 constituting an intercom master unit with monitor is provided with a demodulation circuit 3a for demodulating a digital modulation signal, a display signal processing circuit 3b for arranging segmented pixel data S31a in specific pixel arrangement data S3b, a video signal processing circuit 3c compensating white balance and colors of an imaged video image and a display unit 3f for confirming a video image of the visitor.
