PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thick film which can suppress substrate distortion or the like caused by heat treatment when forming the thick film, and provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: A thick-film laminated body is formed as a dielectric printing layer and a conductor printing layer or the like are formed in lamination on a peeling-off layer with a melting point higher than a sintering temperature of a thick-film dielectric paste and a thick-film conductor paste, and is put under heat treatment by covering this with the dielectric paste to obtain a sheet member 20 in which the thick film laminated body is covered with a dielectric coating 48. Side faces of exposed porous conductor layers 44, 46 are covered by the dielectric coating 48, but, since a dense intermediate dielectric layer 42 is provided between the conductor layers 44, 46, glass component is properly suppressed from infiltrating into the conductor layers 44, 46 when baking the dielectric coating 48, so that the peeling-off of the dielectric coating 48 caused by the infiltration is suppressed, and a high adhering strength is obtained.
