PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a security system for enabling a control member of a security company to quickly and appropriately grasp the situation of a monitoring target even in a self-contained security system. SOLUTION: This security system consists of: a home server which detects an abnormal state that occurs in the monitoring target in an alert set state and notifies a user's portable terminal of abnormality information through a network, and a security center which sets the home server in an abnormality addressing state through the network on the basis of a request from the portable terminal. The home server is provided with: an image acquiring means for acquiring an image photographed in the monitoring target at the time of a shift to the alert set state and abnormality detection; a storing means for storing the image acquired by the image acquiring means; and an image transmitting means for transmitting to the security center the image acquired at the time of the shift to the alert set state when the abnormality addressing state is set.
