PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the color tone of the whole of glaze by refiring existing sanitary ware produced by a general process. SOLUTION: The method for producing sanitary ware comprises: a stage where a ware fired product in which a first colorable glaze layer comprising an emulsifier and pigment is formed on the surface of a ware base is prepared; a stage where a colorable glaze material for color control is applied to the surface of the first glaze layer for forming a second glaze layer on the first glaze layer; and a stage where, after the application of the colorable glaze material for color control to the surface of the first glaze layer, firing is performed at a temperature lower than the firing temperature in the formation of the first glaze layer by 10 to 200°C to form the glaze layer for color control.
