The invention relates to tricyclic heteroaromatic compounds of general formula (I) and the salts thereof wherein the structural elements X, Y, A, R<1 >and R<2 >are defined in the specification. The invention also relates to the preparation of these compounds and their use as pharmaceutical compositions, particularly as analgesics.
