PURPOSE: A method for restraining ridging of Al-Mg-Si alloy sheet is provided to inhibit development of Goss orientation that is a principal cause of ridging and substantially reduce ridging generated on the alloy sheet accordingly by properly controlling shape factors (L/D) under the non-lubrication state in the rough rolling step. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the process of maintaining a shape factor (l/d) represented in the following mathematical expression 1 in front of rough mill to 1.0 or less and maintaining the shape factor (L/D) in rear of the rough mill to 3.0 or more as maintaining a friction coefficient between rolling rolls and work to 3.0 or more under the non-lubrication state in the rough rolling step when hot-rolling an alloy slab in a process of manufacturing the Al-Mg-Si alloy sheet: L/D=£2(R(Di-Df))¬1/2|/(Di+Df), where L is length of roll projected onto the sheet in rolling roll bite, D is average thickness of the sheet, R is radius of rolling roll, Di is initial thickness of the sheet, and Df is final thickness of the sheet.
