<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device system which permits easy resetting of a display device even in an inaccessible place and a method for controlling the same. <P>SOLUTION: A remote controller 12 of the display device system is equipped with a force resetting switch 15 and when the force resetting switch 15 is depressed, a reset code for resetting the display device is delivered.
