<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe installing method with very high practicability and efficiency inexpensively performing construction by not only installing pipe easily and surely by using the outer pipe and also reusing an outer pipe. <P>SOLUTION: The method bores a tunnel 6 with an excavator 1 in a ground 7 between a starting shaft 10a and an arrival shaft 10b at a prescribed interval, and arranges a plurality of pipe materials in the tunnel 6 to install the pipe A continuously providing the plurality of the pipe materials on the ground 7. The pipe material employs a double pipe material 2 comprising a diameter-small inner pipe 4 and a diameter-large outer pipe 5 fitted to the diameter-small inner pipe 4, and arranges the double pipe material 2 providing the excavator 1 on the edge in the starting shaft 10a, is advanced to the edge side by pushing the double pipe material 2.
