<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute a prior notice presentation while controlling the burden on a main control board of a game machine in which the main control board is separated from a sub-control board. <P>SOLUTION: In the game machine, the main control board 11 determines whether the result of the variable display should be a jackpot or not when a game ball wins a prize, and outputs a variable display result indication signal indicating the determined result of the variable display to a display control board 13. When a condition for starting the variation is satisfied, the main control board 11 outputs a variation start command to the display control board 13. The display control board 13 determines whether a jackpot notice display for previously notifying that the result of the variable display will be a jackpot, and/or a next-to-win notice display for previously notifying that the result of the variable display will be a next-to-win display should be executed or not.
