<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a time required for boosting a voltage in a boosting circuit. <P>SOLUTION: The boosting circuit has a charge-pump circuit that boosts a voltage by connecting charge transferring portions consisting of charging capacitors and charge transferring elements in series in multiple steps, and by driving the charge transferring portions of each step with an anti-phase clock signal; and a pre-charging circuit that boosts a voltage of the charge transferring portion of each step beforehand. In the boosting circuit, the pre-charging circuit has a pre-charging voltage generating portion that generates a pre-charging voltage at the charge-transferring portion of each step based on a reference voltage, and a reference voltage boosting portion that makes the reference voltage higher than a power source voltage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
