PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable tensile force device which can make a cable easily connectable to a moving body. SOLUTION: The cable tensile force device which is made to impart a tention to a cable to be connected to a moving body transferably supported to a fixed body, is provided with contact means 22, 23 movable to a tensile range capable of getting into contact with cables 10, 11 and a nontensile range incapable of getting into to them, in the crossing direction crossing the moving direction of the cables 10, 11, a spring 20 urging the contact means 22, 23 so as to impart a tensile force to the cables 10, 11 and a retaining means 18b able to temporarily retain the contact means 22 and 23 against the urging force of the spring 20.
