PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image pickup lens capable of obtaining excellent resolution by restraining aberration such as distortion aberration to the periphery of an image plane though it has a large photographic viewing angle such as about 80°. SOLUTION: A single biconvex lens 2 which has an aperture diaphragm 1 on a subject side and whose both surfaces are aspherical is constituted to satisfy following conditions. (1) 1.0<R1/f<2.0 and (2) -0.7<R2/f<-0.55, provided that R1 means the radius of curvature of the surface of the lens 2 on the subject side, R2 means the radius of curvature of the surface of the lens 2 on an image formation surface 5 side and f means the focal distance of the lens 2.
