METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DEVELOPING CORE LOADING PATTERN IN NUCLEAR REACTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for developing a design of a core loading pattern in a nuclear reactor. SOLUTION: In this method, a set of the limits applicable to a core is defined (S10) and a test core loading pattern design to be used for the loading of the core is determined on the basis of the limits (S20). Reactor operations are simulated for a subset of the core and simulation results are generated (S30). The simulation results are compared with the limits (S40) and the data obtained from the comparison show whether any limits are violated by the core during simulations or not (S50). Referring to the data, designers or engineers correct the test core loading pattern, carry out simulations and draw up a derived core loading pattern design to ultimately complete them as an acceptable core loading pattern design of the core.
