摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inlet flow control system capable of realizing stable combustion at the time of introduction of EGR gas into an intake passage by controlling opening and closing of an inlet flow control valve and favorable combustion performance which avoids impairment of an intake pulsation effect through communicating to EGR gas passage under a middle and heavy load including a time when a throttle is fully open, in a four-stroke cycle engine which introduces EGR gas into the intake passage. SOLUTION: In the four-stroke cycle engine, where an intake passage consisting of a hollow passage inside an intake manifold and an intake port of a cylinder head arranged with an exhaust recirculation gas passage open, the intake passage is provided with the inlet flow control valve for deflecting intake flow and characterized by features enabling opening and closing of an opening portion of the exhaust recirculation gas passage by the intake flow control valve.
