SLIDING PARTS AND BRAKE DISC ROTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide lightweight sliding parts having superior corrosion resistance and high heat resistance, also having excellent wear resistance and friction characteristics at high temperatures and hardly causing surface defects, and also to provide a brake disc rotor as the sliding parts. SOLUTION: The sliding parts have a base material composed of an aluminum matrix composite using ceramics as a reinforcement and a sprayed coating which is formed by thermally spraying thermal spray powder consisting of a composite material of ceramics composed essentially of WC and metal and is deposited onto a part or the whole of the surface of the base material.
