PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for tires to improve the performance on ice and abrasion resistance of a pneumatic tire and provide the pneumatic tire produced by using the composition. SOLUTION: The rubber composition contains a butadiene rubber as the rubber component and 4-70 pts. wt. (based on 100 pts. wt. of the rubber component) of silica having a nitrogen-adsorption specific surface area (N2SA) of≤250 m2/g. The content of cis-1,4-bonded polybutadiene in the butadiene rubber is 60-95% after the vulcanization of the rubber composition. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
