PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging container for a pot vegetable garden, which has excellent effect on fall prevention and is suitable for vegetables having a light color (or white) of the edible parts of vegetables and soft palatability, and yet has beautiful appearance. SOLUTION: This packaging container for the pot vegetable garden has a flat bottom wall 1, a peripheral side wall 2 standing from the peripheral edge part of the bottom wall and a ceiling wall 3 closing the upper edge opening part of the peripheral side wall and each wall has a light screening property. The pot vegetable garden is obtained by filling culture soil 9 and seeds and seedlings 10 into the packaging container having the flat bottom wall 1, the peripheral side wall 2 standing from the peripheral edge part of the bottom wall and the ceiling wall 3 closing the upper edge opening part of the peripheral side wall.
