A round permanent magnet (8) is housed inside a round pot-shaped casing (1) made from ferromagnetic material so that it is flush with the ring- shaped upper edge of the casing. A plate (4) made from ferromagnetic material acts as the counter-piece. The two parts are embedded in plaster in the articulator so that the upper and lower jaws can be removed and replaced as often as desired.
