<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely separate a photoreceptor drum and a development roller when detaching a development unit, by integrally providing a paper guide member on the frame of the development unit which is attached to the recording section of an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A photoreceptor unit and a development unit are in combination mounted to the recording section of the image forming apparatus. In the development unit, a development roller 32 is positioned in correspondence to the photoreceptor drum 21. A conveyance roller device 6 is disposed upstream of a paper conveyance path. A frame 40 upstream of the development roller 32 is provided with a guide member 43 which guides paper. To detach the development unit, a lower guide plate 46 is once moved to the position where a lower guide plate 46 is located inside the periphery of the roller of the unit side of the conveyance roller device 6.
