<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for performing comfortable air conditioning by arranging an indoor machine casing in a hand reachable position of a resident. <P>SOLUTION: When blowing off air of exchanging heat with a heat exchanger 3 to an upper part in a room, a rotatably arranged fan casing 43 is rotated by a rotary means 44, and a blowout port 42 of the fan casing 43 is connected to an upper side air blowout part 521 of the indoor machine casing 2. Next, when blowing off the air of exchanging heat with the heat exchanger 3 to a lower part in the room, the rotatably arranged fan casing 43 is rotated by the rotary means 44, and the blowout port 42 of the fan casing 43 is connected to a lower side air blowout part 522 of the indoor machine casing 2. Thus, since the blowout port 42 is connected to the upper side air blowout part 521 or the lower side air blowout part 522 by rotating the fan casing 43 itself for changing the blowout direction, the wind direction can be changed without arranging a gate valve. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
