<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device for printing labels which are to be stuck to a plurality of objects such as data files, wherein the printing device facilitates checking of an arrangement order of the objects having the labels stuck thereto, and to provide a program. <P>SOLUTION: The printing device synthetically generates print data of aligning patterns 52a to 52g together with print data of character strings 51a to 51g, so that when the labels 50a to 50g are stuck to the data files 60a to 60g as the objects which are then placed in proper alignment, the labels 50a to 50g exhibit the continuity along their alignment direction, and allow discrimination of an arrangement order of the objects by visual inspection. Then, the printing device generates print data for the labels in a predetermined number, and produces the labels by continuous printing, based on the print data. Thus, the alignment order of the labels, i.e. the arrangement order of the objects having the labels stuck thereto can easily be checked by visual inspection, which facilitates management and arrangement of the objects. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
