<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stent for suppressing the movement of the stent itself from its placement position, and also suppressing the contact of the end part of the stent with a lumen intima facing the end part. <P>SOLUTION: The shape of a stent 11 changes between an insertion state where the stent is contracted in a radius direction and a dilated positioning state. The stent 11 includes: a main body part 12 which forms a cylinder with both ends open in the positioning state; and a flange part 13 arranged to be swelled to the periphery of one end part in the main body part 12. The flange part 13 is abutted onto the intima in the peripheral edge of a Vater's papilla part 21 in duodenum 22, so as to suppress the movement of the stent 11 to a lumen depth part to which the stent 11 has to be dilated. Besides, the flange part 13 is arranged at one end part of the main body part 12, and hence does not greatly project from the Vater's papilla part 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
