PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a concave reflecting mirror having at least a concave reflecting part formed of metal for a discharge lamp. SOLUTION: This concave reflecting mirror is characteristically composed of: the metallic concave reflecting part 2a; and a sealing part-mounting neck part 2b projected toward the back side at the center of the reflecting part 2a, formed by interlaying an insulating member 3 or with an insulation material, and used for mounting a sealing part 18 on the high-voltage application side of a high-pressure discharge lamp 10 with a D.C. voltage of 1,000-4,000 V continuously applied in startup. The concave reflecting mirror can improve curved surface accuracy of a concave reflecting surface 2c, can thereby reduce dispersion of brightness and use a deposition film having low heat resistance, and can significantly reduce a cost.
