PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle travel controller controlling traveling in accordance with intention of a driver. SOLUTION: The vehicle travel controller has a traveling condition detecting means detecting the traveling condition of an own vehicle, a control execution judging means judging whether fixed speed travel control in which the own vehicle travels at a target vehicle speed or inter-vehicle following control in which the own vehicle follows a precedent vehicle while keeping a target inter-vehicle distance can be executed or not on the basis of the traveling condition, and an acceleration pedal operation condition detecting means detecting the operation amount of an acceleration pedal and a time for which the operation of the acceleration pedal is continued after the acceleration pedal is stepped in (hereinafter, acceleration pedal operation continuing time). This vehicle travel controller further has a travel control executing means, and when the control execution judging means judges that the fixed speed travel control or the inter-vehicle following control can be executed, the travel control executing means starts the fixed speed travel control or the inter-vehicle following control on the basis of the acceleration pedal operation amount and the acceleration pedal operation continuing time which are detected by the acceleration pedal operation condition detecting means.
