PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mixer which is small-sized, exhibits high thermal efficiency, can efficiently generate a mixed gas, and is excellent in corrosion resistance. SOLUTION: The mixer produces a mixed gas by mixing a raw material with steam and comprises a silica glass body. In the silica glass body 10, the following are installed: a water tank section 1 for storing water; an evaporation section 2 communicating with the water tank section for heating water supplied from the water tank section to generate steam; a raw material heating section 6 for heating the raw material; a mixing section 4 for mixing steam generated in the evaporation section 2 with the raw material to generate the mixed gas; and a guiding route 4a for guiding the mixed gas to the outside.
