PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrooptical device for preventing deterioration of an organic EL element etc., an occurrence of a dark spot failure, or shortening of a service life due to invasion of oxygen, moisture etc., and provide a manufacturing method therefor, as well as an electronic apparatus. SOLUTION: The electrooptical device 1 having counter electrodes 23, 50, a light-emitting layer 60 held therebetween and a protective member 46 disposed on a substrate 20 comprises a through-hole 20a for making spaces of both sides of the substrate 20 a communicating state; and a getter agent 30 positioned on an opposite side to the light-emitting layer 60 on the substrate 20.
