PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining a design solution to a core loading pattern. SOLUTION: This method consists of the definition of a set of limits applicable to a core of a nuclear reactor (S10); the determination of a loading pattern design of a test core to be used in order to load a core on the basis of the limits (S20); the generation of simulation results by simulating reactor operations at least for a subset of the core(S30); the comparison of the simulation results with the limits (S40) and the provision of the data showing the limits violated by the core loaded in conformity with a test core loading pattern during the simulations (S50).
